Description

Description:
The ingredients for YO fruits of the forest fruit syrup have been carefully composed, and unite to form a perfect masterpiece. The subtly tart flavour of chokeberries and blackcurrants is rounded off by the sweetness of elderberries, strawberries and apples.

Diving back into history:
Each of these fruits has its own story to tell: Chokeberries are virtually unknown, even today. But the chokeberry plant, with its multitude of white flowers, is so beautiful that it received an award from the Royal Horticultural Society in England. Blackcurrants, too, were not cultivated until the 15th century. But their potential has been discovered little by little ever since.

Elderberries, on the other hand, are steeped in legend, and have inspired a number of fairy tales: One theory concerning the Grimm brothers’ “Mother Hulda” fairy tale figure is that she was given her name because the white blossom of the elder tree is reminiscent of the snowflakes that she shook out of her pillowcase. The history of the strawberry dates back to antiquity, when they were sold as an aphrodisiac.

The apple tree is symbolic of the "Tree of life" in many old legends, representing eternal life or eternal youth. This symbolism can still be seen today in the proverb "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" – a saying used all over the world.
