Pinot Noir originates from Burgundy in France and has been cultivated in South Tyrol for over a hundred years. The grapes for this Pinot Noir are grown on the Ritten plateau and in the area around Bolzano on slopes selected by the cellar master.

Growing area/climate: Warm and well-ventilated hillsides in Ritten and Oberleitach at 500 to 750 meters above sea level.

Winemaking: The mash is fermented in steel vats, and part of it matures for a short period in wooden barrels.
