Cabernet Mumelter is a typical Cabernet Riserva. This cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc combines the characteristics of both grape varieties to create a distinctive, elegant, and harmonious wine with concentrated fruit.
Grape varieties: mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
Growing area/climate: hillsides near Bolzano at 330 meters above sea level on weathered porphyry soils.
Harvest: mid to late October.
Vinification: after traditional red wine fermentation in wooden barrels, the young wine matures for about a year in French barriques and large wooden barrels.
Pairing: hearty dishes with red meat, grilled or roasted, game and mature cheese.
