Lagrein Riserva DOC
The indigenous Lagrein grape variety finds ideal conditions for producing a first-class wine on the slopes of the municipality of Bolzano. First produced in 2000, Lagrein Sanct Valentin is aged for twelve months in small oak barrels and then for six months in large oak barrels, which gives it a special balance. It is powerful on the palate and impresses with its balanced acidity. A powerful wine with great aging potential.

Exposure: Southeast
Soils: Moraine debris and sandy alluvial soils
Training system: 50% pergola, 50% Guyot
HARVEST
Early October; harvesting and grape selection by hand.
AGEING
Fermentation in steel tanks. Followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing in barrique tonneaux. Blending after just under a year. The wine then matures for a further 10 months in steel tanks.
SERVING SUGGESTION
Lagrein Sanct Valentin is the perfect accompaniment to rich meat dishes such as beef tenderloin, but also all kinds of game dishes and mature cheeses.
