Acacia honey - Imker Taschler Edi - 500g

The acacia trees begin to bloom in early May and provide the first important honey production in the bee year. The acacia honey stays liquid for a long time thanks to its high fructose content. It has a very delicate fruity aroma and is therefore ideal as a sugar substitute.

Description

Description:
The spirit is radiant and clear with a greenish-yellow, amber colour.
Already from the clean and distinct 'flower' one recognises the typical coumarin smell of freshly dried alpine hay.
The taste is balanced, intense and full-bodied, the finish harmonious and long-lasting.
The balanced alcohol content, combined with an elegant, subtle sweetness, gives the liqueur its distinctive character.

A farm-produced herbal liqueur. The alpine herbs for this unique liqueur grow at 2500m in the pastures of the Gsies Valley. When the herbs are dried, their flavour becomes even more intense. The combination of schnapps, herbs and a little sugar results in a fabulous liqueur. The so-called 'Heuschnaps' reflects all the aromas of hay and herbs, which only grow on South Tyrolean pastures. It is reminiscent of summer and Alpine freshness.

An alcoholic extract of fifty to seventy (50 to 70!) herbs from the 'Malga di Tesido' (over 2000 metres above sea level) in Val Pusteria, South Tyrol, is produced. The herbs are painstakingly picked, selected and purified by hand by certified experts, taking into account the degree of ripeness, the weather and the phases of the moon.
The great art is now to impart the typical aroma and flavour of fresh hay to the liqueur through a refined and sophisticated combination of these herbs. Many years and countless trials have elapsed between the first provisional samples and the current mature product. The abundance of highly effective alpine herbs has a distinctly calming and relaxing effect on body and mind, strengthens the immune system and helps prevent colds and flu.

Producer:
Alpen High Seppila
A small local company whose purpose is to produce high quality spirits and liqueurs using absolutely natural raw materials. All the aromas for grappas and liqueurs are extracted from different types of aromatic herbs, roots of precious plants or berries and fruits. After a cold maceration, digestion or evaporation, an aroma distillation often follows. They also use different hydrolates. The usual distillation after the alcoholic fermentation of the basic products is specifically renounced, as with this method most of the aromas and above all all the precious substances and active principles are eliminated. The alcohol used for grappa and liqueurs is an alcohol made from organic soft wheat, of the best quality, of Italian production, without the aftertaste of the raw material of origin, neutral par excellence. The peculiarity of the Alpen High® - Seppila process is to use the aforementioned alcohol as an organic solvent and with the help of various natural products to create a surprising and tasty fantasy of flavors.
